We engaged Brett in late 2006 to perform and extension and renovation on our 1920’s brick bungalow in Balgowlah. Over 6 months Brett and his team demolished the rear of the house, added a large new open plan area and deck and then moved to the original part of the house for further renovation, creation of an en suite bathroom and the refurbishment of various rooms, including the main bathroom. Apart from an 8 week period when we had to move out, we were able to remain in our home during the project, which made a huge difference to our costs. As foreman and project manager, Brett was always on site, and fully in control of the project. His team of employees and subcontractors were polite, neat and tidy and the workmanship was consistently of a very high standard. We were very happy with the finished product, completed within 6 months and with minimal variations.

Brett Hall is one of those builders you look for to build or renovate your home. He’s a thinking man’s builder. Always planning ahead, always checking and rechecking; the site always busy and always keeping track of costs. He’s one of those rare builders who gently reminds you of the costs when your ideas far outweigh your budget but never dampens your dreams. We renovated our home with Brett. It was our first renovation and a big one. We essentially gutted a house and renovated from the inside out. As first time renovators we were novices and believed all the renovation shows you watch on TV. Our only saving grace was that we had Brett as our builder and his honesty and integrity and workmanship and those of his skilled band of carpenters and other wonderful tradies turned what could have been a terrible mess into a wonderful and warm home we live in today. It was such a robust and enjoyable experience I’d do it all over again. I suppose that sums it up. If you can finish a renovation and say without hesitation that you’d love to do it again, then either you’re mad or you’ve got one hell of a great builder. We live in a beautiful home which Brett turned from something ordinary to a place we all love to come home to and would unhesitatingly recommend Brett and his team.
